The Cvent Advantage
HelmsBriscoe has been using Cvent for over 10 years, with each of their 1,400 Associates across the world using the Cvent Supplier Network tool to find and book venues. Without a global platform like Cvent, the venue sourcing process would have to be done manually from start to finish, which is a highly labour-intensive and time-consuming process.
HelmsBriscoe found the ease of use and quick service offered by Cvent to be a great complement to their sourcing services. “Cvent is user friendly and flexible,” says Kelli Vettoretto, Regional Director for HelmsBriscoe’s Australia and New Zealand operations. “It has been a great solution for our Associates around the world.”
With Cvent being HelmsBriscoe's prescribed platform for sourcing, any new Associate who joins HelmsBriscoe is trained on using the platform as part of the company’s onboarding programme. The sheer size of Cvent’s repository of venues, coupled with quick search features in the platform (such as multi-destination search), means the HelmsBriscoe team has all the necessary information available at their fingertips, allowing them to source a variety of venues and quickly turn around RFPs.
“Being able to communicate directly with the properties through messaging, the new customisable client summary reports, and being able to do multi-destination searches, help us in servicing our clients quickly, efficiently and with confidence,” says Kelli.
Fuelling Business Growth
“HelmsBriscoe’s Australia and New Zealand business has steadily grown year-over-year, and Cvent has certainly played a role in that,” exclaims Kelli. Over the last five years alone, HelmsBriscoe booked nearly US$6 billion in room revenue globally, 30 million room nights, and more than 215,000 programmes – a majority of which was sourced through the Cvent platform.
“We see a lot of time savings using Cvent,” states Kelli, adding, “Our productivity is enhanced by using a system like Cvent, compared to doing it manually. That means that we can achieve the results for our customers more quickly.”
Post-Pandemic Future
Though the pandemic put a dent in their business, HelmsBriscoe is optimistic about their future and their partnership with Cvent. “Quite a lot of business on our books was postponed from last year. Some business that was cancelled last year has been rebooked or in the process of rebooking this year, so we assumed the first half of this year would be a little bit stop-start. However, business is definitely returning in Australia, and I'm confident that the second half of the year is going to be much stronger. Cvent will continue to help us as our industry gets back to pre-pandemic levels,” concludes Kelli.
