Stacey Fontenot is a customer-centric marketing leader with a visionary mindset. With an extensive background in technology, Stacey has held executive roles at prominent organizations both domestically and internationally. Throughout her career, she has consistently created and implemented strategies that drive market penetration, attract new audiences, establish industry leadership, and enhance shareholder value.

As the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Cvent, Stacey leads the global marketing strategy across the Company’s entire product portfolio. Her customer-first approach, including the implementation of robust feedback initiatives, ensures that Cvent customer insights directly inform marketing strategies and product development, resulting in stronger client relationships and enhanced customer loyalty. Under her guidance, Cvent has expanded its global market share, increased customer satisfaction, elevated brand recognition, and boosted employee engagement. Stacey's unique ability to connect with individuals and activate their strengths has been instrumental in achieving these results. Her collaborative and empowering leadership style has been key in mobilizing Cvent’s high-performing global team and sets her apart as a transformative leader in the marketing industry.

Prior to her role at Cvent, Stacey held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Blackboard, Inc., a leading education technology company. During her tenure, she spearheaded the transformation of marketing strategies for their flagship product, Blackboard Learn. Stacey has also served in executive roles at global, publicly held corporations such as XM Satellite Radio and Sprint Nextel. Her exceptional leadership qualities were recognized through her participation in the exclusive Global Leadership Development Program at Mobil Oil.

Stacey's previous roles include VP of Segmentation and Marketing Campaigns at XM Satellite Radio, where she earned two Circle of Excellence awards and one CEO award. She began her career at Mobil Oil Corporation, progressing through various positions and earning recognition as the Mid-Atlantic Region Employee of the Year.

Recognized as a Top 40 Women in Tech in Washington, D.C. and one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Arlington, VA, Stacey has also completed prestigious leadership development programs with Nextel and Mobil Oil Corporation. She holds an MBA with distinction from Wake Forest University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from the College of William and Mary.
