Jeannette Koonce

Jeannette Koonce is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Cvent and is responsible for the company’s legal and compliance function. 

Prior to joining Cvent, Jeannette spent more than 16 years at CoStar Group, a software company based in Washington, DC. During her tenure at CoStar, Jeannette successfully helped lead the acquisition and integration of over 30 domestic and international businesses, helping grow CoStar from $130 million to almost $2 billion in annual revenue.

At CoStar, Jeannette held several executive and management-level roles including Interim General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Deputy General Counsel. In these positions she was responsible for managing general day-to-day legal, compliance, and commercial issues, domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, and was actively involved with the company’s SEC reporting.

Jeannette also proudly served as a member of CoStar Builds, a committee organized to expand, promote and support the company’s philanthropic efforts.

Prior to her time at CoStar, Jeannette spent eight years as an attorney with Venable, LLP, a corporate and securities law firm in Washington, DC. 

Jeannette earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College and her Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary School of Law.
