Brian Ludwig
Brian joined Cvent in 2000, shortly after the company was founded. Brian was initially a top contributing sales rep and rose through the ranks over the years.
As Senior Vice President of Sales, Brian oversees worldwide sales of Cvent's flagship event management and marketing platform. His organization of hundreds of sales professionals around the world consult and guide event organizers and marketers as they evaluate the role technology can play in helping to market and manage their in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, and maximize the impact of their Total Event Program.
Brian has traveled worldwide to meet with global-leading organizations and Fortune 100 Companies to help guide their event program strategy and often shares his meetings and events industry insights and expertise as a speaker at conferences around the world. Brian works hand-in-hand with Cvent’s global sales team, and with leadership across the organization, to help shape strategy and direction as they relate to the Company's product roadmap, client services initiatives, marketing efforts, operational efficiencies, and acquisitions. He has played a critical role in evaluating and ultimately integrating the multiple acquisitions over the years. Brian is especially proud of the role he played in growing Cvent's global employee base by establishing, and then expanding, Cvent's London, Frankfurt, Melbourne, Singapore, and Dubai presence.
In 2021, he was awarded Smart Meetings’ Catalyst Award for his work in helping the industry adapt and evolve to the pandemic-driven digital transformation.
Brian arrived at Cvent with a strong technology sales foundation. Brian worked as a Regional Sales Director for Lutron Electronics, an industry-leading lighting control systems manufacturer. Brian dramatically grew Lutron's footprint in the southern part of the United States. Brian's technical acumen landed him as a regular instructor of architects, engineers, and electrical contractors at Lutron's training institute.
Brian graduated with an MBA from University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith Business School, where he studied Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
