The return of in-person events provides unparalleled opportunities to engage with members and deliver on the value propositions that associations offer. These opportunities have only grown along with the digital maturity of the event space. With more data at their fingertips, associations can enhance the member experience within and beyond a single event.

To better understand how the event landscape has evolved for associations in recent years and how associations event teams can see more success in the future, Cvent commissioned a study from Forrester Consulting. This study included a global online survey of 509 respondents, including 105 meetings and event decision-makers within the association space.

One of the key findings of this study highlights the improved engagement associations see when multiple event formats are offered. Conversely, the study also found that associations hosting a mix of event formats, and leverage various technologies to make it all happen, can improve engagement and drive revenue but the fruits of that labor can be severely limited due to disjointed data, incomplete insights, and workflow inefficiencies.

How can associations overcome these challenges? Event teams must begin plans to consolidate their technology and adopt a holistic approach to event management, streamlines processes and prioritize data-based decision making.
