Cvent Product Insider - February 2021

Vol 2 | February 17, 2021

It’s been a year of unprecedented innovation in the industry, and Cvent is no exception. Last year, we brought you the new Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub® and have been hard at work adding valuable new features to better support your virtual and hybrid events for 2021. Check out the latest and greatest releases for the Virtual Attendee Hub and the entire Cvent product suite, and don’t miss new resources designed to keep you up to date.

Latest Exciting Releases for Virtual Attendee Hub

We’ve had several releases to the Virtual Attendee Hub over the past few weeks, including…

Session Chat

This feature allows your attendees to chat with each other, connect on topics of interest, and even react to others’ messages. Giving attendees a sense of community while watching the session, along with the opportunity to engage with their peers rather than simply watching video content.

Gamification

With the new gaming feature, you can create custom challenges/games made up of different attendee actions within your event. For example, create a ‘Social Butterfly’ badge that is earned when scheduling and attending virtual appointments, or even have sponsored game cards where an attendee earns a badge by taking actions in that specific sponsor’s virtual booth.

Duration tracking

You can now better understand how long your attendees watched your session and easily identify who attended live vs. on-demand. You can even configure a simple setting to set a rule for how long attendees need to watch the session before they’re marked as a true participant.

There’s even a Virtual Attendee Hub best practices discussion going on in the Cvent Community right now, where users like you are sharing their best tips and tricks in the tool. Join the convo!

And these are just a few of the recent Attendee Hub release highlights! Our Product team has been hard at work across the full Cvent platform delivering new and exciting features. For example, Standard Registration (Flex) now supports post-registration partial payments and multi-language browser detection. Our Surveys tool also released a rank order question type, allowing your survey respondents to easily rank a list of choices. From an integrations perspective, the Cvent Salesforce App just had its Version 5.2 release, bringing you new features such as assigning record owners as nomination approvers and creating dynamic opportunity end dates. You can hear more about all of these releases and others in the on-demand recording of our Quarterly Product Update webinar that was just held on February 4, and stay better connected with future releases by subscribing to our weekly release notes.

Speaking of staying up-to-date on the latest product news and releases, you may have noticed the small blue bubble floating in the bottom right corner of your Cvent screen. Say hello to the Cvent Notification Center! Let’s break down what you can find here:

We’ll be using this space to deliver larger announcements we feel are important to you as a Cvent customer. We want to ensure you’re seeing critical communications related to upcoming product changes, actions you may need to take, and relevant events.
