McLean, Va. and London, UK — Cvent, a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, today announced plans to expand its international presence with the opening of a London office. Cvent has facilitated meeting and event booking in Europe through its Cvent Supplier Network since 2008 and has experienced strong demand in the region. Likewise, hundreds of UK-based organizations have been leveraging Cvent’s online event registration solution for many years now. The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market is the second largest for event registration software, following North America, accounting for thirty percent of the $28 billion global market, according to recent research conducted by Frost & Sullivan.

This global expansion will allow Cvent to better support its existing client base in the region, while continuing to aggressively grow the business internationally. The company currently serves nearly 250 UK clients, including Accenture, Barclays and Nielsen. In order to attract new business, Cvent is building a London-based team to consolidate all European sales and marketing efforts locally. All European clients will be able to utilize Cvent’s complete platform of services, including the event management solution, Web surveys, event mobile apps, the Cvent Supplier Network and the company’s Strategic Meetings Management solution for enterprises.
