As the weather gets warmer and we get closer to summertime, we also get closer to the highly anticipated Cvent CONNECT Annual “Plannie” Awards. Entries have been submitted for the 2018 awards and finalists will be announced by the end of June 2018. They will be posted on the Plannies website.
So what are the Plannies?
The Plannies are Cvent's very own Excellence Awards. Think the Oscars, but for event planners – and winning them is a little more gratifying. These awards are a way for us to celebrate and recognize customers who are at the forefront of innovation in the meeting, events, and hospitality industries.
How did this all start?
In 2013, Cvent launched the First Annual "Cvent Planner Awards," that highlighted achievements in the corporate event and meeting management industry. Since then, we have expanded these awards to keep up with our ever-growing Cvent platform. These awards have also expanded to recognize achievements of those in the hospitality industry and their invaluable contributions to our shared success. In summary, what began as five categories of awards has now expanded to include twelve unique categories all geared towards recognizing noteworthy achievements and remarkable innovation.

Let’s get to the good stuff - what do I get for winning?
All finalists will be compensated for up to two (2) complimentary Cvent CONNECT registrations (Passes that include Training Camp are not included). They will also receive preferred seating at our Plannie Awards ceremony and a Certificate of Excellence.
Award winners will receive a personalized crystal Plannie award (told you it was cooler than the Oscars) and a post-event media kit to publicize their success.
