Thanks to its "very strategic, very analytic, and very collaborative" approach to group business, the Omni Nashville Hotel jumped five spots to No. 1 on Cvent's list of the 2019 Top Meeting Hotels in the U.S. The JW Marriott Austin and Aria Resort & Casino ranked second and third, respectively.

"Being recognized as the highest-ranking hotel on this year’s list is a testament to our team and our continued dedication to providing exceptional service and amenities that event organizers and attendees look for,” said Tod Roadarmel, area director of sales and marketing at Omni Nashville. “With three properties in the top 10 from Nashville, we are proud to be leading the list and to support Nashville’s position as a prime destination for meetings and events.”

Those other Nashville properties include last year's Top Hotel, the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Conference Center, which fell to fifth place this year. Fairmont Austin rounds out the top five at No. 4.

International Lists Feature 3 Repeat Winners

On the regional international lists, the Top Meeting Hotels are all enjoying back-to-back No. 1 ratings, as they each topped their respective lists in 2018 as well: Hilton Prague in Europe, Hyatt Regency Sydney in Asia Pacific, and JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai in the Middle East and Africa. In fact, Dubai properties dominate the Middle East and Africa list, taking seven of the top 10 spots.

Additional lists segment the Top Meeting Hotels even further by both location and attributes. Among independent U.S. properties with less than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, for example, Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio lands at No. 1.

The lists were compiled by analyzing 2018 meeting and event booking activity through the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN), which saw more than $16 billion of group business sourced last year. Hotels are ranked based on various performance criteria, including total RFPs and conversion rate.
