Los Cabos has long been known for its otherworldly landscapes and unique experiences. Now, it can add “world-class meeting and convention destination” to its list of benefits, thanks to the grand reopening of the Los Cabos International Convention Center (ICC). After a significant renovation, the new ICC boasts more than 72,000 square feet of functional meeting space, accommodating up to 8,000 people. Built with sustainability at its core, the new ICC is LEED certified and features more than 1,000 solar panels, state-of-the-art water treatment and reclamation facilities, and LED lighting throughout. It will also be home to the world's largest green wall — 29,000 square feet — which serves as an insulator and prevents the building from overheating during the warm summer months. Seamlessly situated amid the natural beauty of San Jose del Cabo, the facility features a terrace overlooking the Sea of Cortez — one of many architectural considerations meant to highlight the breathtaking scenery beyond its walls. It is strategically located near The Corridor, a 20-mile stretch of stunning beaches, luxury resorts, and world-class golf courses that connects San Jose del Cabo with its lively and legendary counterpart, Cabo San Lucas.

Los Cabos International Convention Center by the Numbers

  • 8,000-person capacity.
  • Three exhibition areas.
  • 11 breakout spaces.
  • 440 parking spaces.
  • 1,008 solar panels producing 412,000 kilowatts.

The new ICC represents just one aspect of Los Cabos’ current infrastructure boom. A new $50 million airport terminal expansion project is launching in 2018, in addition to an already-notable increase in connectivity, with more than 500 weekly flights. A billion-dollar investment in hotels will lead to 5,000 new rooms by 2023. And in the past year alone, both the public and private sectors have invested close to $50 million to upgrade security infrastructure, equipment, and personnel to ensure the utmost safety for all visitors. A rare rendezvous at the foot of the Sierra de la Laguna, the ICC uses its location where desert meets sea to highlight the region’s singular and vibrant spirit. With its emphasis on upscale and modern design, sustainable architecture, and access to the many unparalleled natural wonders of the Los Cabos region, the new ICC effortlessly represents the ethos of this unique Mexican area. "The renovation and grand reopening of this state-of-the-art convention center is a transformative moment for Los Cabos tourism as we elevate our offerings across the board to attract new travelers — business and leisure alike — to the destination," said Rodrigo Esponda, managing director of Los Cabos Tourism Board. "The new ICC is a testament to Los Cabos' resilience and commitment to establishing its profile as a destination of choice on the global stage. We welcome the world to Los Cabos to experience the new ICC and our destination."
