Main Street Breckenridge, Colorado, is known for its incredible shopping and dining scene, but it also serves as the central hub of everything Breckenridge, with fun events, festivals, music, and an abundance of activities for your attendees. One of the best things about downtown is that as soon as you arrive, you are just a hop, skip, gondola ride, or jump away from endless amounts of fun. Once your attendees park their car or take the shuttle into town, they can walk or shuttle anywhere. This means more time outside breathing the mountain air and enjoying the views. Take a peek at a few of our favorite adventures on Main Street, and keep reading for details on how groups can make the best of their time in the mountains with other adventures off Main Street.
Adventures on Main Street
The Blue River and Maggie Pond
The Blue River runs down the mountain to create Maggie Pond, all the way through downtown Breckenridge and beyond. Enjoy fly fishing from the shores of the Blue River. Groups can learn to cast and find out where the fish are biting with the help of our local outfitters and guides at Breckenridge Outfitters and Mountain Angler. Stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals are available on Maggie Pond, with the gorgeous slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort as a backdrop. Also, SUP yoga classes on Maggie Pond are offered by Meta Yoga Studios.
Breweries and Tasting Rooms
Two local distilleries, Breckenridge Distillery and Dancing Pines, both have tasting rooms on Main Street, or you can check out two new wineries, Continental Divide and Carboy Winery. If beer is your beverage of choice, head to Breckenridge Brewery, the fourth-oldest brewery in the state, or head out on the Ridden Bike & Brew tour of downtown and visit the Breckenridge Distillery and Broken Compass Brewing just outside of town.
Discover the History and Mystery of Breckenridge
The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance offers signature tours recounting the history and mystery of this quaint mountain town’s past. There is a tour for everyone, with expert local guides sharing stories of everything from old miners, bawdy saloons, and Victoria ladies to lingering spirits and haunted houses.

There is always something fun and creative happening in the Arts District, with live performances, public art, outdoor movies, and private classes and workshops. Breckenridge Creative Arts also offers interactive docent-led tours to showcase the town’s public art collection.
