At CrowdCompass, we’re all about headache reduction. And what gives planners the most headaches? Struggling with event technology that’s difficult to learn. That’s why we are happy to announce the release of an updated EventCenter! Through a mix of client feedback, user experience best practices, and extensive usability testing, we updated the EventCenter to be more intuitive and user-friendly. Here are the main ways how the new EventCenter will make building an app faster, easier, and less headache-inducing.
Easier to navigate
The first thing you’ll notice is the new navigation menu on the left, which makes it easy for you to hop to your next task or review your app checklist. You’ll never have to wonder where anything is: it’s all there on your left.
Intuitive organization
The EventCenter has all the same features as before, just organized in a way that makes more sense to you. We reordered parts of individual pages so that widely used elements are at the top, created an Interactive Features menu that contains all features surrounding attendee engagement (Notifications, Surveys, Live Polls, Game, Beacons, Social Wall, and Click), and moved banners to the Design section.
A modern look
Design and user experience plays a key role in how a someone interacts with a piece of technology – that’s why attendees love CrowdCompass apps! We took the same user experience best practices we use for our apps and applied them to the EventCenter. It now has a sleeker, more modern look that’s easier to use.
We’re here for you
We know change can be intimidating, so we’ve created different types of trainings to help you out. First, there are new onboarding tips that you can (and should!) opt into the first time you visit the new EventCenter. These tips point out the key elements that have changed. Second, there’s a PDF you can download that lays out all the navigation changes. Third, we have recorded trainings and an article in the Knowledge Center. And of course, you always have the Support team to help you out, too.
A Coherent Platform
The new EventCenter is the first step towards a Cvent-wide effort to unify the design and navigation of our entire platform. Stay tuned for more to come!
