It is hard to believe that yet another successful year of Cvent CONNECT has come and gone. Cvent’s annual user conference, Cvent CONNECT, offers unparalleled opportunity for event and marketing professionals to network, learn and grow in-person in Las Vegas, as well as virtually. This year, members of our Cvent Client Success team were fortunate enough to join the excitement in person. With our expertise and experience, we were able to share valuable insights and best practices with our clients and attendees to help them maximize their experience, as well as learn new industry & customer trends that we have been able to share with our teams internally. In this blog post, we’ll take a close look at the Client Success teams participation at Cvent CONNECT 2023, and all of the ways we were able to leave a positive impact on the event and with our attendees.

Ask the Experts:

At Cvent CONNECT, we’re always looking for new ways to help event professionals stay on top of their game. A cornerstone of Cvent CONNECT, our “Genius Bar” style Ask the Experts station, allowed clients to bring their real-time product challenges and questions to our teams, and get advice from some of our experienced and knowledgeable product experts on the Client Success Team. We were able to lean on our product knowledge to walk through specific use cases, and answer questions for clients.  Whether attendees were just starting their Cvent customer journey, or are seasoned Cvent clients looking for new ideas, the Ask the Experts station was there to help.

At this year's Cvent CONNECT, we were able to host 190 Ask the Experts appointments. During these appointments, the top categories of questions brought up by clients were event management, registration, and Attendee Hub. Additionally, we were able to host 15 integration focused appointments.

Session Content and Speaking:

A new area of Cvent CONNECT that our Client Success Team participated in this year was partnering closely with our Marketing team to help bring in some of our clients to speak at a breakout session. The team worked closely with their clients to help them plan and execute their sessions. We were able to tap into our knowledge of our clients to help develop the session content, run through rehearsals, help provide use cases and examples for the sessions, and actually deliver part of the session content onstage with our clients in some cases.

From brainstorming ideas for topics, to helping clients find the right speakers and presenters on their teams, our Client Success team was there every step of the way. During the event itself, our team was on hand to provide support and ensure that everything ran smoothly. Some that weren’t actually speaking in the session itself that helped develop the session content were there to cheer-on and support their clients, help with logistics and setup of the session, making sure presenters had everything they needed, and help run in-session engagement like Live Q&A.  Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our CS team, Marketing team, and clients, the sessions at Cvent CONNECT were a huge success. Attendees left feeling informed, inspired and excited about the future of the event industry.

Community Meet-Ups

New to Cvent CONNECT this year, our Client Success team helped run and facilitate Community-Meet Ups within the Innovation Pavilion. Our Community Meet-Ups were centered around building community and fostering connections between event professionals regarding a specific topic. Some examples of Community Meet-Up topics that were hosted by our Client Success team included Sharing Your Best Practices Meet-Up, Identifying and Driving Goals and Outcomes through the use of Cvent Meet-Up, Non-Profit Associations and Organizations Meet-Up, Cvent Beginners Meet-Up, System Admin Meet-Up and more!

Our Client Success team is dedicated to helping clients achieve their event goals, and know that building strong relationships and connections is a key part of that process. That’s why we were excited this year to participate in the Community Meet-Ups, and help facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices, and sharing of expertise between attendees.

Training Camps

Training camps at Cvent Connect are events designed to provide attendees with hands-on training and education on the latest event technology and industry best practices. These camps typically include a series of workshops, interactive sessions, and demonstrations led by Cvent product specialists. Attendees can learn about topics such as event marketing, attendee engagement, event registration, and data analytics.

The training camps are structured in a way to provide attendees with an immersive learning experience. They typically offer a mix of classroom-style instruction and practical exercises, allowing attendees to apply what they learn in real-world scenarios. The camps are also an opportunity for attendees to network with other professionals in the event industry and share insights and best practices. Cvent made a significant schedule modification this year by hosting 26 free training camps for all registrants. This is in contrast to the previous year when only 5 training camps were offered for a fee.

In the months prior to Cvent CONNECT, our Learning & Development teams collaborated with a few members of our Client Success team to organize the content. On the event day, both teams delivered their respective portions of the prepared content. The Training Camps were facilitated by not only speakers but also moderators from the Client Success and Learning and Development teams, who were readily available to address any queries from the attendees.

Customer Appointments

Customer Appointments at Cvent Connect are one-on-one meetings between attendees and Cvent representatives. These appointments provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss their specific event planning needs and learn more about how Cvent's technology and services can help them achieve their goals.

Our Client Success Team was able to accommodate 158 appointments this year with our Cvent Customers. This created a valuable opportunity for event professionals to get personalized advice and support from their Cvent team, and to learn more about how Cvent's technology and services can help them create more successful events.

Feature Flashes

The Feature Flashes sessions at Cvent Connect are designed to showcase the latest updates and features of the Cvent platform. Attendees can benefit from these sessions by discovering new product features and enhancements that can help them manage and promote their events more effectively.

This year, some of our Client Success Team led Feature Flash sessions on Cvent's AI Writing Assistant, Attendee Hub, and Cvent Studio. They focused on highlighting the key benefits and use cases of these new features and how attendees can utilize them to enhance their event registration, attendee engagement, and overall event performance. This presented a valuable chance for event professionals to gain insights into the latest features and improvements of the Cvent platform and receive tailored guidance on how to use these features to create more successful events.

Client Success involvement at Cvent Connect is an essential aspect of the event. During the conference, Client Success teams were available to provide support, guidance, and best practices to attendees, ensuring they get the most out of the Cvent platform. Client Success involvement at Cvent Connect is a testament to Cvent's commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support to its users.
