The 5th Annual Plannie Awards, celebrating the perseverance, creativity, and innovative spirit of our customers, were held today at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas as part of the Cvent CONNECT conference. Here's a list of this year's winners. Congratulations to you all!

SMM Star Winner: Amazon

This is the First Plannie Award for Amazon. Before implementing a meetings management solution, Amazon did not have a centralized location for hotel and supplier relation management. Since Implementation, Amazon has seen a 120% increase in stakeholder engagement that continues to grow, $9.6 million dollars in tracked meetings and events spend, and $4.3 million in negotiated savings!

Savvy Sourcing Winner: Medtronic

This is the Second Plannie Award for Medtronic. After a large acquisition two years ago, Medtronic was faced with the challenge of alignment and engagement across various levels. Since creating a strong implementation framework with Cvent, Medtronic has configured their use of the supplier network to help mitigate risk, drive sourcing, and ensure negotiated savings. This includes over 2,000 RFPS, 13 million in negotiated cost savings, and over 7,500 hours saved in resource time over three years!

Marketing Mastermind Winner: CallidusCloud

This is the first Plannie award for CallidusCloud. Since integrating Cvent into Salesforce, executives now receive real time reporting that has resulted in an increase in cross-sell pipeline by 30% and an increase in registration by 40% over the course of four years. In addition, Calliduscloud has improved their attendance rate from 60% to a whopping 92%.

Onsite Orchestrator Winner: Morningstar

This is the second Plannie award for Morningstar. Before using Cvent, Morningstar was limited by technology that lacked the ability to transfer data and sync in real time. This onsite experience pain point was alleviated by utilizing an event mobile app, adopting RFID technology and implementing OnArrival for a smooth check-in experience. Morningstar has now developed over 1,200 qualified leads from their annual conference, which has led to successful inductions into their lead nurture campaign for better event follow up and return on investment.

Mobile Maverick Winner: ACIG Insurance Company

This is the first Plannie award for ACIG Insurance Company. With a 10% increase in overall event satisfaction in just a year's time, and a 7.4% increase in overall satisfaction in ease of navigation, ACIG Insurance Company’s CEO confirms that the company has made great strides in its push to go paperless while still increasing attendee experience. ACIG is now able to reduce payroll expenses and eliminate the need for an additional person to assist on events. With a total cost savings of over $11,000, the company is now able to focus back where it belongs, on the attendees and the events experience.

The Listener Winner: LeadingAge

This the first Plannie award for LeadingAge. The LeadingAge community includes 6,000 not-for-profit organizations in the United States, 39 state partners, hundreds of businesses, research partners, consumer organizations, foundations and a broad global network of aging services organizations that reach over 30 countries. The organization strives to offer the best educational content at its conferences, therefore the ability to survey the experience and content quality at each session is critical for success. Survey results gathered through Inquisium and integrated into Salesforce, have helped LeadingAge gauge speaker effectiveness and improve selection processes for future events.

Rookie of the Year Winner: Sanofi

This is the first Plannie award for Sanofi. The systems Sanofi was using prior to the Cvent implementation were abruptly discontinued from uncertainty and cause of concern for loss of data, business continuity, and transparency reporting errors. With a 4-day notice in August 2016, Cvent was implemented to reduce impact on internal stakeholders. In 6 short months, Sanofi embraced the extensive features of the Cvent platform, becoming increasingly more excited for the potential to expand their business in 2017.

The Achiever Winner Netsmart

This is the first Plannie award for Netsmart. With the support of Cvent technology, an event plan coordinated in 2016 marked Netsmart’s CONNECTIONS conference as the #3 source for opportunities created company-wide for the year, a 28% increase for deal count, and a 97% increase for pipeline creation.

Power of the Platform Winner: Samaritan's Purse

This is the first Plannie award for Samaritan’s Purse. Over the past 11 years, Samaritan’s Purse conference series allows the organization to focus on their audience. Samaritans annual conference serves as an igniting touchpoint for volunteer attendees, motivating and inspiring efforts for the coming shoebox collection season. Utilizing Cvent has allowed the organization to support the complexity of their event that includes 53 registrations types, 10 unique registration paths, 22 invitation lists, while also providing a better attendee experience through the inclusion of an event mobile app, deeming the conference 100% paperless. Congratulations to all of our winners and nominees! You are all pioneers in the ever-evolving event industry, and we cannot express enough how honored we are to be your partners on this amazing journey. Thank you!
