The business development team at the Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority created a web series called Meeting Planner Tips to inspire meeting and event professionals. Topics range from the importance of natural lighting in event spaces to exploring unique culinary experiences in the latest episode.  

Hotel Updates and Renovations

Hotels in Seattle Southside are looking better and better every day! Staying at a newly renovated hotel close to public transportation, international dining options, and world-class attractions just feels right. Check out these recent hotel renovations and openings near Sea-Tac Airport and the Link light rail, which connects Seattle Southside to downtown Seattle.

  • The Wingate by Wyndham Seattle Airport opens this month in Seattle Southside. The 157-room hotel is equipped with 600 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, and onsite parking. It also offers guests a free hot breakfast, airport shuttle, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
  • The Seattle Airport Marriott recently underwent a major renovation that included a complete redesign of all guest rooms, the addition of 8,500 square feet of meeting space in its naturally lit atrium, a 13-foot mega screen for private events in the Atrium Lounge, a glass fitness room, and an additional 40 seats in the redesigned Aqua Terra Bar. With these renovations, the hotel now has a combined 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
  • The Radisson Hotel Seattle Airport recently completed an $8 million renovation. The changes include a lobby transformation with stylish furnishings, updated guest rooms, meeting spaces, and the restaurant and bar. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and offers 204 guest rooms and suites, a fitness center, a heated indoor pool, and more than 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
  • Basil’s Kitchenat Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recently finished a major renovation of the restaurant. The sleek, modern design appeals to guests, and the private dining room can accommodate groups of up to 20 people.
