Now open for business, Costa Rica is the ideal setting for your next event or incentive trip.
Costa Rica long attracted those in search of rich natural beauty and welcoming local culture, and its essence of “pura vida” is simply captivating. Now, with newly developed safety and health protocols across its meetings and convention spaces, this Central American nation is a perfect place to host your next event with confidence.
Experts across Costa Rica joined forces to create a comprehensive plan around cleaning and sanitization procedures, social distancing measures, and other important logistics to help keep attendees and staff safe. Developed in partnership with the national tourism board and the nation’s convention bureau, these specialized protocols have earned Costa Rica the coveted WTTC Safe Travels stamp — awarded to destinations around the world that have adopted approved safety measures.
With those protocols in place, Costa Rica has opened its doors to international travelers from around the globe. Beginning November 1, all U.S. citizens and residents will be able to travel to the destination as well. Strict entry requirements include a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of travel and comprehensive travel medical insurance.
Looking ahead, planners can trust in all of the elements that make Costa Rica such a special destination for meetings and incentive travel. This well-connected nation is easy to get around and accessible by two international airports in San José and the Guanacaste province. There are over 17,000 hotel rooms throughout the country and several meeting venues, including the sustainably built Costa Rica Convention Center in San José.
A global pioneer in economic, social and environmental sustainability, Costa Rica is dedicated to preserving its resource for generations to come. The nation is home to 5% of the world’s known biodiversity, and there are incredible landscapes to explore. All throughout Costa Rica, exhilaration meets wonder with zip lining through the canopy Monteverde Cloud Forests and watching wildlife in Manuel Antonio National Park, hiking through the lava fields, and plunging into natural hot springs around Arenal Volcano. As you look ahead to planning incentive and bleisure travel, let the Costa Rican spirit of pura vida lead the way.
