The Dizengoff Center is Tel Aviv’s first major shopping mall. HaTachana, the Hebrew name for the old Jaffa railway station was originally built in 1892 as the terminus for the Jaffa-Jerusalem railway. Located between the Tel Aviv Beach and Neve Tzedek, HaTachana has a brilliant selection of cafes, restaurants, and interesting boutiques ranging from fashion, of course, to wooden games, all in an enviably realistic historic setting. HaTachana is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The Market is the oldest and biggest of its kind in Israel and one of the nicest in the world and is home to over two hundred artists. The products made of wood, glass, fabric, plastic, paper, rocks and almost any anything – are all hand made by the artist who stands behind his stall. The artists in the market are obliged to be accepted by a special committee. They must make the products themselves and must be the ones to sell their products.
