Built in 1872, this gothic-designed light house sits within Lighthouse Park at the Northern tip of the island. It's a great historical landmark to visit and watch the boats along the East River.

You can visit this historical landmark which is the ruins of The Smallpox Hospital, sometimes referred to as the Renwick Smallpox Hospital (designed by James Renwick) and later the Maternity and Charity Hospital Training School.

Surrounded by sweeping views of Manhattan and the East River is this beautiful park. Southpoint Park is located between Cornell Tech and FDR Four Freedoms State Park. It is a great location for picnics, yoga and other family friendly activities. The park sits close to the historical landmarks of the Small Pox Hospital Ruins and Strecker Lab filled with native flowers and plants.
