(www.flyvail.com) Denver International Airport (DEN) is 110 miles east of the hotel and approximately a two hour drive through historic mining towns and the Eisenhower tunnel along I-70. The White River National Forest is right in our backyard and offers a seemingly endless amount of trail systems with over 860 miles of trails to explore. In addition to all the hiking in the immediate area, there are a number of 14,000 ft. peaks close by for the adventurous crowd looking for a more difficult challenge. The peaks of most of these are accessible in the summer without specialized equipment, although it is only recommended for very athletic.
