The Waterloo Bar & Grill is a central city pub that has local values and offers well priced food and beverage. The Waterloo is situated in the historic art deco Waterloo Hotel Building opposite the railway station. Close to all forms of public transport the Waterloo is the place to end your long hard day or begin your long hard night. With a full pub menu, reasonably priced drinks, gaming room and private function area, the Waterloo is your home away from home. Formerly the Ferrymans, the Waterloo has recently been refurbished to provide an even more relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
