The Strand Inn is located in the beautiful village of Dunmore East, in the southeast of Ireland. The hotel itself has been here for close to 300 years, its roots extend back to the 17th and 18th century when it was a notorious haunt of smugglers, but for the last 35 of these it has been run by the Foyle family. Over that time it has built up a reputation as one of Ireland finest seafood restaurants. Sitting close to the sea in what is one of the most gorgeous sheltered coves in the country. It looks out over the the Hook Head and its lighthouse. The hotel itself possesses all the charm of a building as old as it is but at the same time manages to combine the old and the new without losing any of its character. The Strand Inn consists of 16 room which are completely furnished with various amenities. Our dining room can cater for 80 guests, our terrace can take another 50. The Cliff can seat 30 guests at one table or 60 upstairs, for an informal party. It could take 120 guests. The cliff is also an ideal venue for the following day to throw a party.
