Frequently asked questions: Do you have formal meeting space? Formal meeting space is currently not available at the Eldon, however several options are available nearby. The Mount Vernon Place UMC offers a variety of affordable and flexible meeting space. ½ a block away is the Walter E. Washington Convention Center which offers meeting space suitable for large and small meetings. Ask your sales representative about the Convention Center’s new Distinctive Meeting’s Package. Can you provide informal meeting space for a retreat, or brainstorming session? Yes, we can and have in the past. Our spacious suites provide a great setting for this type of meeting. We have several local venders who will deliver sandwiches or a working lunch to your suite making this a fun and affordable alternative to a traditional in-office meeting. How do I get from the airport to the Eldon? You can take the metro, a limo or a taxi. The green-line metro stop is 2 blocks away and provides direct transportation to Reagan Airport. Taxi’s are also an affordable option as the Eldon is centrally located. How many people does the suite accommodate? One bedroom suites are suitable for one to four adults. The larger two and three bedroom units can accommodate up to six adults. Each bedroom includes one queen size bed. A queen size sleeper sofa is in most of the living rooms. What else is in your area? Our area is quickly evolving. We are directly next to the area where the new convention center hotel (Marriott) will be located and near the Historical Society where the Washington DC’s new visitor’s center will be opening. Our area also hosts many residential condos a CVS and small carry-out restaurant. This area is about five blocks from the National Gallery of Art, Chinatown and shopping.
