PGA Riviera Maya is an impressive landscaping work in which the renowned Robert Trent Jones II has managed to create a spectacular synergy by integrating the golf course into the Mayan jungle, complete with natural lakes and cenotes. It has a spectacular 18-hole championship golf course plus another course featuring 9 par-3 holes. The 27 holes were cut deep into a limestone quarry so that their fairways emerged from the natural contours of a dense jungle combined with mangroves.
