The Papillo Hotel is located in the Borgo Antico (old town) of San Pantaleo, which is in the district of Olbia. San Pantaleo is one of the most picturesque small towns in Sardinia: small one storey houses surround the village church, with the magnificent backdrop of the great granite mountains which rise like monoliths around the village, providing a spectacular setting. During the summer the town springs to life, every week there is a market in the piazza selling a combination of bric a brac, antiques and work by local artists, drawing visitors from all parts of the region.
