The museum used to be known as Gia Long Palace, bearing the name of the first king of the Nguyen dynasty in 19th century Vietnam. The 2-floored palace building covers an area over 1700 m², using classical Baroque architecture with European and Oriental influences.

Being one of the most important historical buildings in Vietnam, the Independence Palace is known as the famous historical witness which passed through the two fierce wars against the French and American colonists. As one of the finest colonial buildings in Saigon, it is considered not only the symbol of Vietnam national independence, but also a special national relic for its architectural and historical values.

Being the most well-known marketplace as well as the symbol of Ho Chi Minh city, Ben Thanh market with its colonial architecture is a must-see destination to look for local handicrafts, textiles, áo dài and souvenirs and local cuisine.

Built in 1897 and designed by the French artist Eugène Ferret, this 500 seat building is a piece of art work with façade shape, decorated with inscription and reliefs. Nowadays the theatre is open all year round and welcomes visitors to discover classic as well as modern art of Saigon through operas, shows and concerts.

Known as the largest zoo and botanical garden in Vietnam, this is a dream spot to escape from the busy city vibe and get lost in nature. Visitors can be impressed by the capacity here, which consists of over 1,800 trees in the botanical gardens and nearly 600 animals from different continents. Located right opposite to Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Central Post Office is one of the must-visit destinations in your travel list. Built between 1886 and 1891 by renowned architect Gustave Eiffel, the building’s vaulted roof and arched windows are reminiscent of early European railway stations.
