Courtyard Berlin City Center

Berlin Brandenburg Airport is the new international airport of Berlin opened in November 2020. It replaces the former airports Berlin Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SXF). It features flights to several European metropolitan and leisure destinations as well as some intercontinental routes. It is situated in Schönfeld in the southeast of Berlin. Brandenburger Tor / Brandenburg Gate The Brandenburg Gate is undoubtedly Berlin’s signature attraction. It is one of the city’s former gates, rebuilt as a triumphal arch in 1791, and the only one which is still preserved today. During the partition of Germany the Brandenburg Gate was located directly next to the Berlin Wall and was inaccessible from 1961 until 1989.

Potsdamer Platz The Potsdamer Platz has had an eventful history to say the least. Once the bustling heart of Berlin, it was laid waste during the Second World War and became a no-man’s land during the partition of Germany as the Berlin Wall ran through it. After the fall of the wall it became the site of major development and has become a showcase of the new and modern Berlin, dominated by skyscrapers, the Sony Center and shops.

Television Tower With a height of 368 meters the Berlin television tower is the tallest structure in Germany. The tower was built by the administration of the German Democratic Republic between 1965 and 1969 and is located close to Alexanderplatz. Visitors to the tower can enjoy a unique 360° panorama of the city.

KaDeWe The KaDeWe, near the center of former West Berlin, is the largest department store in continental Europe, trumped only by the mega department store Harrods in London.
