Toftrees - meaning "Home among the trees" - is nestled amid 1500 scenic wooded acres in beautiful Centre County, Pennsylvania. With a wide variety of meeting rooms available with high speed Internet access, Toftrees can accommodate events ranging from 10 to 300 people. Choose from a variety of meeting space ranging from our spacious ballroom settings to small intimate meetings. Our dedicated conference managers are available on-site to assist you from start to finish with whatever you may need. Toftrees Golf Resort has recently been named to GolfWeek magazine's list of best courses to play in Pennsylvania. When visitors come to Hockey Valley, they will experience some of the best amenities college hockey has to offer. Pegula Ice Arena features two ice surfaces: a main rink, home to Penn State's varsity hockey programs, and a community rink. The main arena seats 5,782 fans, and the community rink seats 300 fans. The Centre County community will also be able to take advantage of the facility, which will be open approximately 360 days per year for public use. The rink features eight locker rooms, and hosts local youth hockey, university recreations, and skating programs. The facility was brought to fruition by an initial $88 million donation - the largest in University history - from Terry and Kim Pegula, who, through their gift, helped Penn State realize its goal of Division I hockey. At the ceremonial groundbreaking on April 20, 2012, the Pegula's added $14 million to the project to lift the total donation to $102 million.

Tussey Mountain was originally operated as a public ski area under the name of Skimont during the 1960's. After sitting idle for a few years, the mountain was re-opened as a private club in the mid 1970's under the name Bald Knob Ski Club. In 1981-82 the mountain was reorganized and opened again publicly as Tussey Mountain Ski Area, a name now synonymous with quality skiing to area residents. Since then the mountain has grown both in size and sophistication of operation. Today, Tussey Mountain has skiing on 50 acres with 3 ski and snowboard lifts and 1 snowtube lift. Our snowmaking system covers 90% of our skiable terrain, as does our slope lighting. Instruction is offered through our PSIA member Snowsports School, first-aid services through our NSP member Ski Parol, a complete Rental Shop, on-site Ski Shop, as well as well-organized junior racing programs. We are typically open for skiing, boarding, and tubing in December, running through middle (to late ) March. Tussey Mountain slopes and lifts are open to skiiers and snowboarders carrying either a season pass or daily ticket. In peak season, our chair lifts operate 12pm-10pm Monday thru Friday, 9am-10pm Saturdays and Holidays and 9am-5pm Sundays. Contact an employee for detailed information.
