As a guest at our hotel you will experience peace, quiet and space, both inside and outside. De Schildkamp is located in Asperen, on the banks of the Linge river that meanders through the Betuwe region, with the vast orchards of the local fruit growers to the left and right. This is a wonderful area for cycling ( you can rent excellent bikes at our hotel for just € 10,- a day) and you can choose from the many available bicycle tours, including the ANWB Lingeroute. Ofcourse this is a great area for walking as well or you can cross the Linge for a visit to the glassmaking town of Leerdam, just a 10-minute walk away.
