Ever since it’s erection in the 11th and 12th centuries the castle has always been the residence of dukes or bailiffs; sometimes the prince abbot himself resided there, in summer or at the time of grape picking. Nevertheless, many tales about emperors, kings or noble damsels are told. Saaleck Castle is situated near Hammelburg. Saaleck Castle offers various conference rooms for hire, available for big or small meetings or conferences. We offer our "Von-Guenther-Room" for marriages.
