About us
The Great Tythe Barn is located in Tetbury, England. It is tucked away down a tree-lined driveway amidst 200 acres of privately owned land, making it a secluded and picturesque venue for Weddings. A well established venue with plenty of experience, the barn opened for business in 1995 and since then hundreds of couples have celebrated their wedding with us. The stunning Grade II listed, 16th Century Cotswold stone barn is the focal point of the complex which is surrounded by former farm buildings, now transformed into 11 self catering cottages as well as a newly refurbished Bed & Breakfast accommodation. Sympathetically restored, this historic tythe barn retains many original features such as exposed stone walls and wooden oak beams whilst incorporating 21st Century comforts such as under floor heating, tastefully decorated washrooms, wooden flooring, atmospheric LED lighting and tall glass entrance doors to allow plenty of natural light and views of the courtyard. The Great Tythe Barn provides the ideal wedding venue. With space for 220 guests to dine from a superb selection of menus and a wedding co-coordinator to assist you in every little detail, we can help you create the perfect dream wedding. The large number of B&B and self-catering cottage accommodation on site also means you won't have to worry about your guests finding their way home. Its newly refurbished 12 en-suite Bed and Breakfast rooms are located within a few paces of The Great Tythe Barn, ideal for staying overnight after a wedding or party - you won’t have to bother with the inconvenience of Taxis. The perfect, peaceful stopover for mid-week business and tourist travelers who want a country location yet need to be located near to the motorway links of the M4 and M5.
