Palazzo Albergati is a sumptuous, magnificent country dwelling named after the Bolognese family. It is one of the most significant examples of 17th-century Emilian architecture. The building is surprisingly impressive because of its remarkable size and the unique contrast between the austerity of its exteriors and the unexpected Baroque-style spatial effect of its interiors. Decorations inside the palace are enhanced by a prestigious cycle of frescoes, typical of the 17th- and 18th-century Emilian school of painting.
