A Spirited Family Business Ralf Loeffelholz, Owner/Head Distiller and native of Muhldorf, Germany, spent 25 years in the global food and beverage industry. The idea to start a distillery was formed over many years, as he wondered why so much of German food culture was lost in the U.S. This dream to recreate the food culture is Dampfwerk’s passion and the driving force behind their story to create premier craft spirits. They started with a name: Dampfwerk. Although not the easiest name to pronounce, it translates to “steam works” and it is essential to the distillation process to produce premium spirits. They imported a hand-hammered copper still, originating from the Schwarzwald in Bavaria. And like the farmers in Bavaria, they pride themselves on building relationships with local orchards and suppliers to produce the best spirit possible under exacting conditions. A true family-run business, Ralf’s wife Mary is co-proprietor and keeps things running smoothly, son Christian is a distiller and heads up their whiskey project, and daughter Bridgit oversees branding, marketing and the cocktail room. In business since 2016, the cocktail room opened in 2019.

Situated in The Shops at West End, PBS Minneapolis lets you take a break from shopping and get your brunch on, stop in for the happiest of hours or rule the night with Karaoke. Located near downtown and Target Field, this custom 25,000-square-foot build out hooks it up with everything from giant scrabble, jenga and connect four to bowling, bonzini, and so much more. We also serve scratch-to-craft culinary and cocktails all day, every day- life just doesn’t get better than this.

Westwood Hills Nature Center is a 160-acre natural area featuring marsh, woods and restored prairie. The preserve is beautiful throughout the seasons and provides homes for many animals, including deer, turtles, fox, mink and owls.

STB opened its doors as a family-owned brewery in August 2011 with a 14bbl system that was pieced together from all over the country. We have four year round brews, 2 barrel aged monsters that make an appearance once a year and several seasonals. We continue to expand each year to add to our brewing capacity and to allow for more tank space to create some one-off brews for the tap room. Our bombers, cans, and kegs are slowly spreading out into the TC market with the mindset that we do not take on any new accounts until we can keep the ones we currently have fully stocked at all times. The garden is home to more than 500 plant species and 130 bird species, and receives 60,000 visitors each year. Beach, picnic shelters, and additional hiking trails located just outside the garden’s gate.
