NYC's newest flagship luxury hotel situated within the remarkable new Hudson Yards, Equinox Hotel was created for those who rest and play as hard as they work, for those who seek a place that matches the scale of their ambitions and a space to restore and regenerate. Every touch point throughout the hotel has been designed with the traveler in mind and through the lens of our three brand pillars: Movement, Nutrition and Regeneration. Equinox Hotels embodies the same holistic philosophy as Equinox Fitness Clubs and redefines luxury as the ultimate in experience and travel as a seamless extension of a life well lived. The hotel encompasses a 60,000 sq. ft. Equinox Fitness Club, accessible during all guest's stay with over 100 group fitness classes per week, complete with a 25-yard indoor saltwater lap pool, heated and cooling plunge pools and outdoor leisure pool, along with an immersive 27,000 sq. ft. Spa by Equinox Hotels offering tailored treatments, cryotherapy, an infrared sauna and signature E.scape Pods. The restaurant, Electric Lemon by Stephen Starr showcases Equinox Hotels approach to food and drink as part of its 360-degree lifestyle philosophy of movement, nutrition and regeneration by bringing together exceptional seasonal ingredients. The space encompasses an 8,000 sq. ft. outdoor terrace, the largest of any hotel in Manhattan, which is open seasonally. The guestroom focuses on creating a dark, quiet, cool environment where lights on outlets and electronics have been eliminated, double blackout curtains have been built into the windows and the walls offer super-high STC (sound transmission class) ratings. The room is divided into a generous, open entry foyer and dressing room/bathroom, with a welcoming, calming sleep chamber adjacent. Its multi-functionality creates space for yoga, exercise, and meditation, and has an integrated work/dine sofa. The layout of the room has been designed for the flexibility of operations, including the size of the in-room tables which were designed specifically to complement the in-room dining program. Rockwell Group’s concept for the hotel was inspired by a seamless transition between travel, work, play, and a healthy lifestyle, built on the brand pillars. The concepts for the guest rooms, public spaces, and restaurant celebrate transitions and transformations (from day to night, from active to restful), with sleek, luxurious materials used in unexpected ways, such as resin, figured metal, stone, and leather. Guests feel as if they’ve stepped into a sumptuous residential loft. The color palette balances de-saturated neutrals with dark moments of contrast. Hints of saturated bold indigo reference the Hudson River and signify the brand.
