Radio City Music Hall was designed by Edward Durell Stone and Donald Deskey in the Art Deco style. One of the more notable parts of the Music Hall is its large auditorium, which was the world's largest when the Hall first opened. Nicknamed the "Showplace of the Nation", it was for a time the leading tourist destination in the city. The entertainment venue is notable as the headquarters for the precision dance company, the Rockettes. Radio City Music Hall is the largest indoor theatre in the world. Its marquee is a full city-block long. Its auditorium measures 160 feet from back to stage and the ceiling reaches a height of 84 feet. The walls and ceiling are formed by a series of sweeping arches that define a splendid and immense curving space. Choral staircases rise up the sides toward the back wall. Actors can enter there to bring live action right into the house. There are no columns to obstruct views. Three shallow mezzanines provide comfortable seating without looming over the rear Orchestra section below. The result is that every seat in Radio City Music Hall is a good seat. More than 300 million people have come to the Music Hall to enjoy stage shows, movies, concerts and special events. There’s no place like it to see a show or stage a show. Everything about it is larger than life.

The Manhattan Cruise Terminal, formerly known as the New York Passenger Ship Terminal, is a terminal for ocean-going passenger ships in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. The New York Passenger Ship Terminal originally consisted of Piers 88, 90, 92 and 94 on the Hudson River between West 46th and West 54th Street. Piers 88-92 are each 1,100 feet (340 m) long and 400 feet (120 m) apart. They were first completed in 1935 to replace the Chelsea Piers as the city's luxury liner terminal. The new terminal was built to handle bigger ships that had outgrown the Chelsea Piers. Awarded “Best US Homeport” by TravelAge West magazine, New York City has been serving cruise passengers longer than any other US city. In 2004, to secure its position as a first-class passenger terminal, the City of New York began a program of $200 million in capital investment at the cruise terminals. The upgrades at Manhattan Cruise Terminal allow Pier 88 and Pier 90 to serve the world’s biggest ships. An additional $4 million investment in Passenger Boarding Bridges is being made to handle the world’s newest and largest ships. The Manhattan Cruise Terminal is one of the most modern facilities. The new terminals included modern adjustable gangways and expanded pier aprons to load and unload passengers and supplies with greater speed, comfort, and efficiency. The redeveloped terminals also segregated embarking and disembarking passengers onto separate levels, allowing for more efficient use of passenger space and reducing congestion.
