The famed Water Fountain is today known affectionately as the Eiffel Tower of Geneva. The impressive 140 metres high fountain dominates Geneva harbor and is symbolic of the city's modern image. Cour St-Pierre. Built between 1160 and 1289, the Romanesque cathedral has more than a hint of Gothic and neo-classical styles contained within its walls. Beneath Cathedral de St Pierre is one of Europe's largest underground archaeological sites with some good 14th-century mosaics. Free admission, charge for the tower.

An elegant bronze fountain and L'Horloge Fleurie (Flower Clock) decorated with over 6000 plants was installed in 1955 to honor Geneva's watch-making industry.
