St. Louis is proud to be the headquarters of Anheuser-Busch and the home of the company’s flagship brewery, which opened in the 1850s. The brewery’s elaborate, red-brick buildings have a Germanic-Romanesque style, with rounded arches, embellished cornices and castellated rooflines, and the interiors of the buildings feature equally beautiful details, including two wrought-iron chandeliers from the 1904 World’s Fair. Guests can tour the innovative space before taking a seat in the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten and enjoying a cold one – on the house. We recommend the Beermaster Tour for an exclusive all-access look at how the King of Beers is brewed, plus a sample of the freshest beer that you’ll ever taste, poured directly from the finishing tank.
