In present times Salona (or Salon) is situated near today's town of Solin (near Split). Salona was largely destroyed in the invasions of the Avars and Slavs first in 614. The Romans re-occupied Diocletian's Palace in the year 639 AD.

City Center one Split shopping center is the biggest in Dalmatia. It has been opened since November 12th 2010 and it is located in Vukovarska 207 street in Split. Center's investors are mostly shareholders from Kaufmann group and Aggmore that have joined in Center one group, as well as small share of Croatian and Austrian private shareholders. Project investment is 160 million Euros. City Center one stretches over 180.00 square meters of gross surfaces, divided among sales area and garages. On 57.000 square meters there are 110 stores, bars, restaurants and service points, situated on three floors connected by elevators and escalators. On five floors of garage there are 2.700 parking spaces for visitors. Whole Center area is adjusted so that disabled people and children can move around it easily.
