1. The Fairmont Peace Hotel originally known as the Cathay Hotel opened in 1929, conveniently located on the iconic Bund overlooking Shanghai’s Huangpu River. Each of 270 guests rooms and 38 suites are inspired by Art Deco design emblematic of the vibrancy and entrepreneurial spirit of Shanghai. Since 2010, Fairmont Peace Hotel was fully revitalized and opened after three-year thoughtful restoration as an Art Deco masterpiece and landmark of Shanghai on the Bund. 2.
