Yachimun is an Okinawan term for pottery. Pottery has been a longstanding tradition in Okinawa, known for its fertile soil. Local potters collaborated to establish a kiln, featuring a distinctive red-roofed ’Nobori-gama(kiln)’ at the center of Yomitan. Yachimun no Sato having the prefecture's largest Nobori-gama, attracted skillful potters like Kinjo Jiro, a revered national treasure, dedicated to traditional pottery.

Originally set up as a filming location for NHK's period drama "Ryukyu no Kaze," the facility features red-tiled roofed buildings and southern plants like stone paving and gajumaru trees that recreate the Ryukyu dynasty atmosphere. Visitors can immerse themselves in the era simply by exploring the area. This facility is considered the top experience spot in the region, offering san-shin (shamisen) performances, brown sugar making, shi-sa making, karate, and Okinawa soba preparation, allowing easy access to Okinawa's traditions and culinary culture. The annual Ryukyu Lantern Festival, held from December to March (planned), is a highlight of the winter season in Yomitan, Okinawa.

Zakimi Castle Ruins, constructed in the early 15th century by Yomitani Atsushi Gosamaru, a renowned castle builder, served as a trade hub with China and southern regions. The ruins park offers a stunning view of the East China Sea, showcasing the oldest arch-shaped stone gate. The Yuntanza Museum displays natural and cultural treasures from World Heritage Sites, Zakimi Castle Ruins, and Yomitan. Visitors can explore archaeology, folklore, nature, Okinawa battles, Gama (caves), and turtle tombs through dioramas.
