The Anchorage Golf Course (AGC), located on the lower hillside of South Anchorage, is a 6600 yard, public 18-hole course. Designed by renowned golf course architect, Bill Newcomb, the course frames the magnificent views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage city skyline, Cook Inlet and Denali (or Mt. The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, also known as the Center or the PAC, opened its doors to the public in 1988. The facility was built as part of Project 80's, along with the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, Egan Civic and Convention Center, Sullivan Arena and Z.J. Loussac Library. The Sullivan Arena was opened in February 1983 and, since that time, has been a mainstay in the entertainment scene in Anchorage. The Sullivan Arena is designed to be a multi-use facility, complete with an Olympic-size ice rink, with an insulated floor covering for basketball, concerts, and trade shows. Total square footage with all telescoping seats retracted is approximately 32,000 square feet.

Our Main stage provides continual entertainment during operating hours of 10AM to 6PM while buskers (street entertainers) perform in the area by headquarters and in the aisles throughout the market. Our 30 food booths make us Anchorage's largest restaurant with the most diverse and exciting menu in town. However, food and shopping are 2nd and 3rd on the pollster's results as the reason to visit Anchorage Market & Festival. People (and dog) watching, along with the general ambiance of the place are way out in 1st place with market-goers. The Anchorage Market & Festival has become a very special event and destination for many locals and visitors, and plays a very important role in our community. Counts by consultants and staff show that more than 600,000 people attended the market last season and more are expected this season, an astonishing 30,000-40,000 visitors per week.
