About us
Richmond Athletic Ground (The RAG) is Richmond’s largest and most historic venue based in the heart of the town. It benefits from fantastic public transport links, being just five minutes from Richmond Station with fast trains to Waterloo (just 15 mins), Clapham Junction and Reading, as well as being served by the Overground and District Line. Our two versatile and welcoming function rooms are available for hire as a meeting, training and conference venue. The largest (Murray Judd Room) can seat up to 200 or 400 standing and the other room (Club Room) can seat 100 or 200 standing. Both rooms offer large and well-stocked bars. The venue is set within a green haven of 26 acres with seven excellent rugby pitches, an astro-turf court and flexible games areas. These games areas are particularly popular for corporate away days/team building/ family days. Our in-house catering team are adept at entertaining larger parties and offer excellent BBQ, hog roast and hot buffet options. Between September and May we are host to both Richmond Rugby and London Scottish Rugby clubs who play at a high level, regularly attracting crowds of over 1,000. Being so close to Twickenham we also offer excellent pre-match hospitality for England Rugby home games which is popular with both corporates and individuals alike.
