Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma, Victoria Falls

About us
The Sanctuary Retreats’ portfolio of luxury safari lodges and expedition ships bring the boutique experience to guests with the added promise of authenticity. Located in some of the most stunning locations in the world, each property is completely individual in its design and operated around the philosophy of “Luxury, naturally”. Sanctuary Retreats was born in Africa with the launch of our first luxury safari camp, Sanctuary Olonana, in Kenya in 1999. It now owns and operates an additional 12 lodges and camps in Zambia, Botswana, Tanzania and Uganda. It also offers private luxury camping across East Africa and our first luxury walking safari camp opened in Zambia's South Luangwa in June 2011. Named after Dr. David Livingstone's faithful friends Sussi and Chuma, the lodge is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Zambezi amidst Jackalberry trees and Phoenix palms, providing unrivalled views and exclusivity. Accommodation is in twelve Sussi tree-houses, connected by wooden walkways. There are also two private Chuma houses, each with two bedrooms.
