The Dizengoff Center is Tel Aviv’s first major shopping mall. The renewed colony includes an urban park and the accurately restored original 37 buildings of the Templar settlement. In recent years, it underwent a major restoration program and is now the most popular attraction in Tel Aviv with 4.3 million visitors annually. The products made of wood, glass, fabric, plastic, paper, rocks and almost any anything – are all hand made by the artist who stands behind his stall. The artists in the market are obliged to be accepted by a special committee. They must make the products themselves and must be the ones to sell their products.
