HaTachana, the Hebrew name for the old Jaffa railway station was originally built in 1892 as the terminus for the Jaffa-Jerusalem railway. It has recently been transformed into one of Tel Aviv’s smartest public spaces. South of the Yemenite Quarter, Neve Tzedek was the first neighborhood built in the “new” city of Tel Aviv, back in 1887.
