Cerro San Cristobal

Cerro San Cristóbal (Tupahue, San Cristóbal Hill) is a hill in northern Santiago, Chile. It rises 850 m AMSL and about 300 m above the rest of Santiago; the peak is the second highest point in the city, after Cerro Renca. Cerro San Cristóbal was named by the Spanish conquistadors for St Christopher, in recognition of its use as a landmark. Its original indigenous name is Tupahue.

Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA) is one of the main centers for the dissemination of visual arts in Chile. Founded on September 18, 1880, under the name National Museum of Paintings, is the first Latin American art. Since 1910 he has occupied a building in the area of Forest Park, in the municipality of Santiago. The Palacio de Bellas Artes, designed by Chilean architect Emile Jéquier and built to commemorate the centenary of the country, was named historical monument in 1976. Santiago´s Main Square was the principal civic center when Santiago was found by the Spaniards in the 16th century. Mercado Central

The Mercado Central Santiago is located in the municipality of Santiago, considered the center of the Chilean capital, between the streets Ismael Valdes Vergara, May 21, San Pablo and Bridge. The building was build in 1869 and was inaugurated on August 23, 1872, 142 years ago. It was declared a historic monument on 15 June 19841 and integrate circuit "patrimonial Santiago" of the "Ruta Capital". Museo Nacional de Historia Natural

The Natural History museum was founded on September 14, 1830, by the French scholar Claude Gay, hired by the Chilean government to carry out a comprehensive study of Chile and to 'set up a museum of Natural History containing the main mineral and vegetable productions of the country’. Since 1876 the museum has been housed in the premises of a neoclassical building at Parque Quinta Normal in Santiago, built by the French architect Paul Lathoud in 1875. It is located inside the Quinta Normal, west of downtown Santiago. There is easy access by public transport: you can take the Metro, Line 1, getting off at "Estación Central". Several bus services also go to Parque Quinta Normal.
