The Royal Maritime Hotel is a hotel with a unique character steeped in naval history. - The hotel was built around 1850 and has special features: It was previously “the royal sailors’ home” and was rebuilt in the 1950s after German bombing razed the original building to the ground. - Each conference room is named after a pivotal point, or figure, in naval history. - 90 ensuite guest rooms with renovated classic rooms - The largest conference room, ‘Trafalgar’, has a beautiful overhanging balcony and can accommodate 400 guests for receptions and 300 for banquets. - There is also another smaller banquet room, ‘Nelson Lounge’, which can host up to 100 guests for dinner alongside smaller rooms including the ‘Hood’ which is ideal for board meetings of up to 30 guests. ‘Below Decks’ is ideal for functions into the late night due to its soundproof nature. - There is a restaurant serving breakfast and a la carte dinner and a bar ‘the Victory Bar’ which serves a variety of cocktails and liqueurs. - There is a swimming pool, skittles alley and snooker room - A whirlpool and sauna
