Each year, more than 1.3 million people visit Agricenter International, a non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of agriculture. It is the third largest tourism draw within Shelby County. Shelby County Government owns the 1,000 acres of Agricenter and holds a conservation easement on the property, while day-to-day operations are managed by Agricenter International. The non-profit was formed in 1979 and the main building was constructed in 1986. The agritourism programs offered through Agricenter International continue to educate and provide economic stimulus to the county and region. The overall economic impact of Agricenter International, the business entities operating as tenants and visitor spending at events, is $524 million annually. Local taxes collected from these activities are $4.7 million annually, and direct and indirect jobs produced are 2,517.

Graceland is a large white-columned mansion and 13.8-acre (56,000 m2) estate that was home to Elvis Presley in Memphis. It is located at 3734 Elvis Presley Boulevard in the vast Whitehaven community about twelve miles (19 km) from Downtown and less than four miles (6 km) north of the Mississippi border. It currently serves as a museum. It was opened to the public in 1982, was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 1991 and declared a National Historic Landmark on March 27, 2006. Elvis Presley died at the estate on August 16, 1977. Presley, his parents Gladys and Vernon Presley, and his grandmother, are buried there in what is called the Meditation Gardens.

The Liberty Bowl is an annual U.S. American college football bowl game played in December of each year from 1959 to 2007 and in January in 2009 and 2010. The Liberty Bowl was sponsored by AXA Financial and was known as the AXA Liberty Bowl from 1997 to 2003. Since 2004, the game has been sponsored by Memphis-based auto parts retailer AutoZone, and is now called the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

The National Civil Rights Museum, located at the Lorraine Motel, the assassination site of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., chronicles key episodes of the American civil rights movement and the legacy of this movement to inspire participation in civil and human rights efforts globally, through our collections, exhibitions, and educational programs. Prior to the formal adoption of this mission statement, the Museum was founded with the purpose of not only preserving the place where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spent his last hours, but also to preserve his legacy and that of the civil rights movement as a whole.

The Memphis Zoo, located in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee, is home to more than 3,500 animals representing over 500 different species. Created in April 1906, the zoo has been a major tenant of Overton Park for more than 100 years. The land currently designated to the Memphis Zoo was defined by the Overton Park master plan in 1988, it is owned by the City of Memphis. The zoo is set on 76 acres (0.31 km2), of which approximately 55 acres (0.22 km2) are developed. In 2008, the Memphis Zoo was ranked "#1 Zoo in the U.S." by TripAdvisor.com. The ranking was based on visitor opinions. Since the early 1990s, the Memphis Zoo has invested over $77 million for renovation and expansion. The zoo's animal inhabitants reside in 19 exhibits in three zones, such as Northwest Passage and China, home to Giant Pandas Ya Ya and Le Le. The Memphis Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Giant Pandas Ya Ya and Le Le are trademarks of the Memphis Zoo.
