The Whistler Conference Centre is situated in the heart of Whistler’s vibrant pedestrian-built Village, with access to over 3,500 hotel rooms, more than 150 restaurants, a vast array of iconic attractions and an ever-expanding events and festivals calendar for added animation. The 40,000 square foot Whistler Conference Centre boasts a spectacular and versatile ballroom (16,500 sq. ft.) with built-in staging, a 250 seat theatre, 13 spacious breakout rooms, 2 expansive foyers and modern design characteristics. In 2021 the Conference Centre underwent a $3.5 million renovation to create a contemporary, sophisticated aesthetic that compliments Whistler’s natural environment. Design and technical upgrades were the main focuses, including: • State of the art lighting to highlight the centres unique architecture & natural features • Dimmable LED lights throughout the building • High quality finishes and furnishings, including 13 beautiful retractable copper chandeliers • Retractable blinds allowing natural light into the 16,500 sq.ft. Sea to Sky Ballroom • Acoustic panels providing heightened sound quality • Original local artwork • Custom maple meeting room doors with mag lock capabilities The Whistler Conference Centre Catering Team are committed to providing quality food and beverage that consistently impresses the savviest of audiences. Specializing in high quality ingredients presented in a clean, modern style. Despite catering to hundreds of guests at a time, we proudly operate a “scratch kitchen” which means no shortcuts – everything is made in-house. Our Executive Chef, Neal Harkins, and his team are proud to feature the very finest food and drink from British Columbia’s farms and oceans – which not only provides our guests with the freshest experience – it’s also gentler on the environment. By spending our dollars locally, we benefit B.C.’s producers and limit the “food miles” required to produce an event. Whistler has been recognized for its leadership and commitment to environmental sustainability, being awarded Level 1 APEX/ASTM sustainability in four sectors - the first Canadian destination to achieve this.
