The Bell Centre is an undisputed hockey mecca. Inaugurated in 1996 and home of the Montréal Canadiens Hockey Club, the Bell Centre has been designed to seat more than 21,000 sports enthusiasts. It is also a venue for rock concerts, classical music performances and family entertainment.

Old Montréal, home to the city's most historic and newest attractions, provides an unbeatable glimpse into city's many lives throughout its extensive history. While the memory of Jeanne Mance, Jacques Cartier and de Maisonneuve can still be felt on the cobblestone streets, Old Montréal and the Old Port make up one of the city’s most constantly evolving and dynamic quarters, with attractions ranging from cathedrals and museums to an observation wheel and river cruises.

How to reach the top of Mount Royal? By public transit: From Metro Mont-Royal: Bus 11 (west), stop at Remembrance/Chemin du Chalet or Lac-aux-Castors. From Metro Côte-des-Neiges: Bus 165 (south), stop at Forest Hill. Then transfer to Bus 11 (east) and stop at Remembrance/Chemin du Chalet or Lac-aux-Castors. On foot: South of Mount Royal: Take entrance at the corner of Rue Peel and Avenue des Pins (W). Climb up stairs to Kondiaronk lookout. East: Walk Chemin Olmsted until the summit or take the stairs (mid-route) to Kondiaronk lookout. West: Take Rue Hill Park Circle via Chemin Côte-des-Neiges and follow it to Beaver Lake Pavilion. By car: If you’re accessing the park via vehicle, search “Mont Royal Parking” on Google. Additional parking is available behind the “Pavillon du Lac-aux-Castors” (also on Google). Rates are currently $4/hour.

The Quartier des spectacles is a Montreal district east of downtown, home to several major cultural institutions and some 30 concert halls with nearly 28,000 seats. Every year, some forty events take place in the Quartier, including several major festivals, such as the Festival international de jazz de Montréal, the Francos de Montréal and Just for Laughs. There are two major hubs: Place des Arts and Boulevard Saint-Laurent to the west, and the Latin Quarter to the east.

The Belvedere Kondiaronk is the terrace of the large chalet on Mount Royal.

A masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture, Notre-Dame Basilica was built between 1824 and 1829. The magnificent interior in wood and the boldly modern design of the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Chapel, captivate hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Pointe-à-Callière is a National Historic Site rising above the actual remains of the city's birthplace, the Place Royale. An archaeological tour takes visitors from the Indigenous People's occupation, to the erection of the first French establishment of the city – Fort Ville-Marie – to the present day.
