Situated in Headford, a mere short 20 minutes from Galway city, Lisdonagh House, full of character and personality is the perfect Irish rural escape. Its opulent yet comfortable drawing room features an open log fire and period furniture with wonderful views of the garden, surrounding parkland and our private lake. Its oval entrance hall showcases original hand painted murals by J Ryan dating from 1790. These unique murals depict Strength, Chastity, Vanity and Justice and are the last remaining record of the artist’s work. There are 9 individually designed bedrooms in Lisdonagh House. Each bedroom has been named after a prominent Irish Artist with four suites offering superb lake views. Each guestroom offers period furnishings. They are havens for sleeping and dreaming. A gourmet 5 course set menu is served for the Wedding Banquet. A lighter more informal 2 course supper is served the evening before.
