Jopen has restored the age-old Haarlem brewing tradition to its earlier glory. A former church in the bustling centre of Haarlem has been transformed into a modern city brewery, grand café and restaurant. It has put Haarlem back on the map as a city of beer.

Het Frederikspark ligt tussen de stad en de Haarlemmerhout. De gelaagdheid van het park is vanaf de middeleeuwen tot stand gekomen toen het al een recreatieve bestemming als speelveld vervulde; hiervan resteert de historische structuur (XVII) bestaande uit het rechthoekige, oorspronkelijk geheel open terrein omsloten door de Dreef, Baan en Kleine Houtweg. In 1832 richt tuinarchitect J.D. Zocher jr. de plaats in als koekamp en wandelpark, hierbij baseert hij zich op het uitgevoerde ontwerp (1809-1810) van zijn vader, J.D. Zocher sr. die in opdracht van Lodewijk Napoleon een aanleg in landschapsstijl realiseerde met een eivormig grondpatroon, in ruime curven verlopende paden, weitjes en bossages

In 2012, the first edition of the Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort was held. Partly because of the extra noise days, Zandvoort became more and more popular. Circuit Zandvoort is a popular circuit among both teams and racing drivers. The friendly, incomparable Zandvoort hospitality and the unique atmosphere make Zandvoort a much sought-after track for international race series. It wasn’t long until ADAC GT Masters, FIA GT3 European Championship, FIA European Formula 3 Championship en Blancpain Sprint Series, came to Zandvoort.
